Why You Should Batch Produce Content

Everyone hates creating content. It makes sense! It would be horrible to create anything if it took all of my time.. No one wants to write blogs for days or record videos for hours nonstop. The goal is to create great content in a lot less time.

There are several reasons why you want to produce content in the batch system. This style will completely change the way you look at production forever.

Save Time

First of all, batch producing allows you to save time. How many times have you sat down to create something and gotten stuck? This could be the usual writer’s block or going blank in front of the camera. Also, always be prepared when it’s time to get the job done.

#WinningTip – Create a system for producing your content. Always have a plan set up. The proper planning can keep your execution smooth.

Time is our most valuable resource. You can use it better when you produce all of your content at once. Imagine what it would be like if you recorded all of your podcast episodes at the beginning of the month? All of you energy can now go towards promoting the content you’ve already scheduled.

Produce More Valuable Content

Secondly, a lot of content isn’t valuable because it’s last minute content. In high school it was easy to write a paper at the last second and get a decent grade. That won’t work with content. More importantly, everyone can see when very little effort was put into creating content. You can hear when someone isn’t focused on a podcast. It’s also easy to tell when a blog was written in ten minutes. Avoid all of this by producing something valuable for your audience ahead of time.

Be Consistent

Consistency might be the biggest issue with content creators by far. The best way to develop consistency is through habits. Try creating your own routine for producing valuable content. It will be easier to constantly feed your audience valuable information and develop your authority status.

How to Fix It

Batch produce your content in steps. Break down your process completely. Content was not meant to be created in the same day. The best businesses in the world have processes that they use repeatedly. Very rarely are the top companies doing anything that doesn’t have a system attached.

Here’s my process:

  1. Topics and purpose. The purpose is extremely important! Every piece of content released must be for an ideal client or customer. Educate them on specific topics and ideas. Content should address problems.
  2. Bullet points and graphics. Graphics are easy to forget in the creation process. Complete them as you outline the key points of content you’re making.
  3. Descriptions
  4. Produce
  5. Schedule

This system allows me to create a lot of content that is released monthly. Most of my daily tasks include engaging with prospects and working with clients. None of my daily tasks include recording a podcast the day I’m set to post it.
